May 15 to 17 will a weekend focused on ecological sanitation. Explore simple, safe, and eco-friendly ways to manage human waste when disasters occur, or when systems, both municipal and private (septic systems), are under strain. Researcher, Authors and Speakers, Alisa Keesey of Santa Cruz and Nick Kawa of Ohio State University will share a presentation of current issues with municipal and septic systems, An overview of ecological and efficient methods for managing human waste using dry sanitation, composting and other methods seen in Europe and Africa.
