Ukiah Independent Study Academy (UISA), in partnership with Sword & Board, hosts Ukiah’s first-ever Family Board Game Convention on Saturday, May 16, bringing together gamers of all ages for a full day of screen-free play, connection, and community. The free event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center, Everyone is welcome ,the convention will feature board game play organized by age groups from 5-years-old to adult. Games will include both collaborative and competitive experiences. Raffles and prizes will be offered throughout the day. At its core, the event encourages young people to step away from screens and engage face-to-face with others who have a similar interest in games.
