Jug Handle Creek Nature Center in collaboration with Xa Kako Dile presents Sacred Flame: An Indigenous Fireside Storytelling Series on the last Saturday of each month, upcoming one taking place on January 31st, from 5:00 to 6:30 with Atta Stevenson, member of the Cahto tribe of Laytonville.  Atta is an elder, storyteller, teacher, traditional foods preparer and sharer, and president of the California Indian Water Commission. Dress in warm clothes and bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on, plus a flashlight. A suggested $5 donation per person; admission is free for children ten years old and younger.  Refreshments donated by Thanksgiving Coffee, The Good Life Café, Mendocino Tea Company and Harvest Market will be available for purchase.  For more information, go to Jug Handle Creek
