The Ukiah Library invites all kids aged 5 to 17 to join in the the Kids’ Farmer’s Market. This annual summer market is designed as a earning opportunity for young farmers and entrepreneurs to learn the skills of sales and bartering, cash-based math, design, gardening, and display with the intention of creating, growing, marketing, and selling handmade and/or homegrown products. All items for sale must be handmade, in whole or in part by the children. The market will be held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, vendors will set up their stations on the grassy areas of Alex Thomas Plaza. Vendors may not set up before 9 a.m. There is no limit to the number of participants, and while families are encouraged to participate,
children are expected to manage their own vendor stations. Children under age 12 must be always accompanied by an adult. NOTE the market will be canceled on days when the temperature exceeds 95 degrees Fahrenheit during market hours
