One of the most impactful ways a person with even a small garden can save money while improving their health is by taking control of their nutrient cycle, from what they feed their soil to what they feed their families.  GROW BIOINTENSIVE is an increasingly closed-loop system which requires less outside inputs once established. October 12 they will be offering garden tours include participant introductions; a discussion of the overall world challenges that humankind faces in the areas of soil, food, and nutrition; an exploration of the connection between thinking globally and acting locally; a tour of the garden and discussion of several crops in particular; and 30-minute mini-classes on double-digging, composting, seed propagation, and sustainable home garden crops, given by staff and volunteers. Children not involved in the tours often find the event difficult, so please check with us in advance if you plan to bring children with you. Please do not bring pets to the tour.
