Mendocino Land Trust has just completed the public access easement for the Caspar Pond trail in Caspar, July25will be the official ribbon cutting. While this trail has been an informal community trail, the formalizing of a public access easement means that the trail around Caspar Pond will remain open to walkers and bird-watchers in perpetuity. Mendocino Land Trust will maintain the trail to ensure it stays in good condition. Located just off Hwy 1 at Fern Creek Road between Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg, the trail is easy to find for residents and visitors. Join the Land Trust and celebrate the trail opening with a group walk and a bit of bird watching!
