The Mendocino County Department of Planning and Building Services, along with its partner, Environmental Science Associates, is hosting a series of public workshops throughout coastal Mendocino County related to the ongoing Sea Level Rise Resiliency Strategy project. The workshops will include a brief presentation on the findings of the Sea Level Rise Analysis & Risk Assessment and draft resilience strategies and an interactive open house featuring maps and informational poster boards. Community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and help shape the County’s approach to preparing for sea level rise.The workshops will take place on the following dates and locations:

Wednesday, September 30 @ 6pm – Westport Community Center
Thursday, October 1 @ 6:30pm – Gualala Coast Life Support District Platt Room during the Gualala Municipal Advisory Council meeting
Friday, October 2 @ 6pm – Mendocino High School Performing Arts Center
Saturday, October 3 @ 12pm – Point Arena Community Chest
