On Sunday, April 26th, Ukiah community members will gather to celebrate the grand opening of the fourth segment of the Great Redwood Trail, the country’s largest rail-trail project. There will be a three mile fun run and walk at 9AM followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10AM. Registration is “day of” only. Just show up between 8 and 8:30 to sign in then have a fun run/walk. The start  at 1825 Airport Road. The run will be an out and back course.

When complete, the Great Redwood Trail will span San Francisco Bay to Humboldt Bay and beyond, offering non-motorized commuter and tourist experiences through some of Northern California’s most beautiful landscapes.
