This Sunday will be the League of Women Voters’ second workshop on Elections 2024: Saving our Democracy for the Common Good. It will feature a discussion on the value of non-partisan politics and The League of Women Voters.  Partisan gridlock takes public policy-making out of the hands of the voters and into the hands of special interests, partisan political operatives and the goals of the White House. Legislating has devolved into hostage taking and unacceptable trade offs, with administrations governing by executive decrees, with no Congressional or judicial over site. We will be discussing how to create a more nonpartisan political system to make sure tyrants and oligarchs do not control our future The workshop will be Sunday, October 13 from 3 to 5pm , at the Community Center of Mendocino,
