DESCRIPTION:The Rotary World Polio Torch Relay is coming to the Mendocino Coast October 10th and 11th!  The coastal relay kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. in Fort Bragg\, traveling along the Coastal Trail before continuing south to Mendocino. On Sunday\, the torch travels through Point Arena and concludes its coastal journey in Gualala.  Come out and be part of it! Cheer on the torch along the route\, then to Mendocino Rotary Park Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. for a community celebration. \nFollow the torch. Join your community. DESCRIPTION:The Writers of the Mendocino Coast and the members of the Artists’ Coop of Mendocino are collaborating for the 15th year to produce an ekphrastic experience. Ekphrasis is a Greek word that\, loosely translated\, means art describing art. Think “Ode on a Grecian Urn.” Ten gallery artists have created art in their medium for ten writers to respond to. Ten writers have initiated one page of writing for ten artists to respond to.  These pairs are anonymous until they are revealed at the Artists’ Coop gallery on October 10. \n  \n
